Haridwar. After raping a minor in Jwalapur Kotwali area, the accused refused to marry her. The girl committed suicide by consuming poison under suspicious circumstances. It is alleged that the youth raped a 15-year-old minor on the pretext of marriage. On Wednesday, the police registered a case against the accused youth and started the search.
According to the police, the minor studying in class 10, resident of Jwalapur Kotwali, was friends with a youth resident of Pathri. It is alleged that the youth raped the minor on the pretext of marriage. Meanwhile, the young man refused to marry, after which the minor consumed poisonous substance. When his condition worsened, his family took him to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. Police arrived on information and took the body into custody. After post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family members. After allegations were made by the family members, the police have registered a case.
Kotwali in-charge Vijay Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused Abad resident Bahadarpur Jat Pathri under POCSO Act, abetment to suicide, rape and other sections. He has claimed that the accused will be arrested soon.
