Dehradun. Major General Manoj Tiwari, ADG, Directorate of Army Recruitment (Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand) paid a courtesy call on Chief Secretary SS Sandhu and Director General of Police Ashok Kumar in Dehradun on Monday.
He discussed with senior officers of the government and police administration about the Army Recruitment Rally (Agniveer) to be held in the state in the coming days. He informed that the first recruitment rally of Agniveer is to be held in Ranikhet from June 20 to July 15. After this, a recruitment rally is to be held in Kotdwar (Pauri Garhwal) from September 1 to September 10 and in Banbasa (Champawat) from November 1 to November 10. He thanked the army for the cooperation received from the government and administration in the previous recruitment rallies. Expressed hope that the state government, administration and administration will get better cooperation for the upcoming recruitment rallies as well. He has also suggested to appoint nodal officers at the district level to facilitate timely verification of documents of selected candidates.
He said that the information about the changes made in the recruitment process should be conveyed to all the candidates at the right time, so that they do not face any kind of problem.
During the recruitment rally, the ADG also discussed with the officials of the government and police administration on infrastructure, rainproof shelter, transport system, police assistance, medical assistance etc. for the convenience of the candidates. Said that following the prescribed norms and standards, suitable Agniveers would be selected for the Indian Army
