Alert of heavy rain in six districts of the state even today

Haldwani. Due to the rains in Uttarakhand, the rivers and drains of the state are in spate. The rain has increased the problems of the people. Landslides are happening in the state. Traffic is being affected again and again due to stone pelting on the National Highway. Today there is an alert regarding rain in 6 districts of the state.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in six districts from the plains to the mountains. While the water level of the rivers has increased due to this rain, there has also been a problem of water-logging in the cities. Showers and heavy rains are continuing in most areas since morning. Along with Dehradun, it is raining heavily in many areas of Kumaon as well. The order of rain continues in Rudraprayag as well. The rain that started in Doon on Tuesday night continued till Wednesday evening. Due to heavy rains, the temperature also dropped. The maximum mercury has dropped by three to five degrees Celsius in most areas.
According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there will be a camp of clouds in most areas of the state on Thursday. Yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Bageshwar. There are chances of showers with thunder and lightning in other areas. It is raining continuously in many areas of Uttarakhand. It has been raining heavily since night in Roorkee and surrounding areas. Due to this rain, there has been water-logging in the cities. It is raining intermittently since last evening in Kotdwar and surrounding areas. This rain has forced people to remain imprisoned in their homes
