Fed up with family’s taunts after marrying a girl from another caste, a young man committed suicide by coming on Facebook Live. The young man apologized to his wife and father and told the taunts of the family as the reason for the suicide. Where is he lost to his family members?
The matter is of Varanasi. Kanad Raghuvanshi (35), a resident of Daulatpur under Varanasi Lalpur Pahadiya police station, had a love marriage a few months back. The family was not happy with this. Kanad came live before suicide and alleged that apart from being unemployed, he started getting taunts of arbitrary marriage. Father and brother even threatened to throw him out of the house and also tortured his wife.
Kanad died within seconds of live on Facebook. After some time, when the relatives reached the room, they saw Kanad hanging on the noose.
