Dehradun. Dehradun’s newly appointed SSP Ajay Singh revealed his priorities while assuming charge on Friday. He said that curbing street crime and taking major action against drug trafficking is a priority.
Along with this, the priority of the police will be on victim-centric policing. No victim will need to wander. Apart from this, data will be prepared for the police station areas where people are not heard. After review within a month, action will be taken against the concerned police station. At present the biggest problem in the district is land related fraud. Strict action will be taken against the fraudsters and their property will be confiscated under stringent laws like Gangster Act.
On the traffic problem, the SSP said that this is a big problem. This is also on priority. Whatever action is possible will be taken. Apart from this, talk about school from time to time. Arbitrariness comes. In such a situation, talks will be held with the school management.

Who is Ajay Singh?
Ajay Singh was earlier the captain of Haridwar. Ajay Singh is a 2014 batch IPS officer. He started his police service as DSP through Territorial Police Service in 2005. In 2018, he was promoted to IPS and he got 2014 batch. Ajay Singh has also been SP City in Dehradun. Whereas, before this he has been in many police circles of Dehradun including CO City Dehradun, CO Dalanwala. He has also been SP Dehat of Haridwar.
