Dehradun. Dalanwala police has arrested 3 bike thieves of Haldwani Bareilly Road while revealing the incidents of bike theft. The accused have also stolen four bikes from Haldwani to Dehradun. Dalanwala Kotwali police have also recovered four bikes on the tip of the youth.
SP Crime Sarvesh Panwar said that Chandreshwar Nagar Rishikesh resident Pradeep Khantwal, Dharkot Yamkeshwar, Pauri resident Manish Sharma at Doiwala Kotwali and Jamniwala 18 Bigha, Rajpur resident Ayush Rawat lodged complaints of vehicle theft at Dalanwala Kotwali.
Inspector NK Bhatt of Dalanwala Kotwali, Vivek Bhandari, in-charge of Harrawala police station, after checking 200 CCTV cameras around the spot, found Nitesh Kashyap resident D Class Chauraha Haldwani, Aman Sharma resident Chaudhary Colony Bareilly Road Haldwani and Aman Sharma resident near Kuanwala barrier after checking 200 CCTV cameras around the spot. Saurabh Sahu residentVrindavan Colony, Bareilly Road Haldwani arrested.At the instance of the accused, four bikes were recovered from the Lachhiwala forest.
SP Crime Sarvesh Panwar told that some time ago a person collided with the bike of accused Nitesh Kashyap. When there was a fight after the collision, the person lodged a case against Nitesh at Police Station Vanphoolpura, Haldwani. Now there is a compromise on both sides. The aggrieved party has sought Rs 50,000 as compensation.
Due to lack of money, Nitesh along with his two companions started stealing bikes. The accused had stolen a bike from Rudrapur a few days back and removed its number plate and scratched the chassis number. By bike, he reached Doiwala and stole a scooty and a motorcycle from there. On March 22, he reached Karanpur and stole the bullet here. All three hid the stolen vehicles in the forest of Lachhiwala
