Fear of murder of student, Dhari student lived at relative’s house in Damuwadhunga
Haldwani. The decomposed body of a student who went missing 51 days ago from Kathgodam area has been recovered from a ditch near Shitala Devi Temple. The student was lying wearing school uniform. Relatives have expressed suspicion of murder of the student. The police investigation rests on the post-mortem report. After the post mortem report comes, it will be known when and how the student died.
Bhaskar (15), son of Subhash Chandra Dumka, originally resident of village Pokhari, Putgaon, tehsil Dhari, lived at his uncle Mohan Sanwal’s house in Shivpuri Jawahar Jyoti Damuwadhunga. Bhaskar was a student of class nine in a private school located in Awas Vikas. On February 17, he left home for school but has not returned home since then. The family members kept searching for him till late evening. After this a missing person was lodged at Kathgodam police station.
During the police investigation, the student was last seen in the footage of the CCTV camera installed near Sheetala Temple. 51 days later, on Monday, a woman who had gone to cut grass in the forest informed the police about the body of a teenager lying in a ditch. The police team reached the spot, took possession of the body and brought it to the mortuary. The family identified the body as Bhaskar.
