Two brothers killed in car accident, grandfather and granddaughter injured
Rishikesh. A car coming towards Rishikesh fell into a deep gorge in Munikireti Patti Dogi area of Tehri Garhwal on Monday morning. Two brothers died in the accident. While a grandfather and his granddaughter were injured in the car. Amit was married on 1st May. In connection with the purchase, both the brothers were coming from the village to Rishikesh market.
Police Station Munikireti was informed from the District Police Control Room Tehri Garhwal at around 8:30 am on Monday that a car had fallen into a deep gorge on the approach road leading to Gular on the Badrinath Highway under Munikireti area.
Senior sub-inspector Munikireti Rajendra Bisht told that the police team reached the spot. After a lot of effort, the team landed in a deep ditch. A person in the car died on the spot of the accident. Three other injured were sent to AIIMS Rishikesh through 108 service, where seriously injured Amit Chauhan (30 years) son Surat Singh Chauhan resident of Village Mundala, Patti Doge Munikireti, Tehri Garhwal died. His elder brother Vikas Singh (37 years) died on the spot of the accident. Girdhari Singh’s son Nanak Singh and his granddaughter Meenakshi’s daughter Dhanveer were injured in the accident. Both Vikas Singh and Amit Singh Chauhan are real brothers.
On Monday morning, he was coming to buy goods from Rishikesh in his eco car. Amit Chauhan was to get married on May 1. Grandma and granddaughter had asked him for a lift to come to Rishikesh. The house where there was happiness and preparations were being made for Amit’s marriage, now mourning has spread due to two deaths together.
