10 bills will be presented in the budget session along with the governor’s address
Gairsain (Chamoli). The budget session of the Vidhan Sabha in the summer capital Gairsain began on Monday with the Governor’s address. 10 bills including anti-copying law will be presented in the session. A budget of more than Rs 80 thousand crore will be presented for the year 2023-24 on March 15. At the same time, Congress MLAs sat on a dharna in the assembly premises.
Before the commencement of the session on Monday, the Congress MLAs raised slogans regarding the recruitment scam, inflation and other demands. The Congress tried to corner the government on these issues. During the session, the opposition has chalked out a strategy to surround the government on other issues including law and order, recruitment case, Vanantara resort case, compensation to disaster affected people.
