Bus carrying Pakistani passengers on Hemkund Yatra meets with accident

There were 15 women, men and children in the vehicle, a group of devotees from Karachi had reached Hemkund.

Gopeshwar. The company of pilgrims from Pakistan who were coming towards Govind Ghat Gurudwara on the pilgrimage to the holy place of Sikhs Hemkund Sahib, due to the steep slope, the vehicle suddenly went out of control and hung on the side of the road along with the heavy power line wires. There were 15 women, men and children in the vehicle.
On receiving information about the incident, Police Station Head Govindghat along with police force immediately reached the spot without any delay. The police station chief reached the spot and contacted the electricity department and got the power line switched off. After closing the line, the passengers and attendants in the bus were taken out safely and after protecting everyone’s life and property, the vehicle was safely brought on the road with the help of two machines.
Gurdwara Trust and Pakistan Sangat praised the Chamoli police for their brave and timely arrival for rescue work.
Let us tell you that the doors of Gurdwara Sahib Darbar will be closed tomorrow i.e. on 11th October. After the Gurudwara trustees decided to close the doors and after getting relief from the return of monsoon, a large number of devotees are coming here from far and wide to offer prayers. In this series, yesterday a group of devotees from Karachi, Pakistan also reached Hemkund Sahib Darbar to pay obeisance.
