Dehradun. Youths of Uttarakhand participating in various competitive examinations will be given 50 percent discount in roadways bus fares. This discount for students will be valid in Uttarakhand Roadways buses within the state.
The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting on Thursday. The cabinet also approved the proposal for out-of-turn appointment in the Sports Department. Apart from this, 150 posts with grade pay of Rs 2000 to 5400 have been reserved in Home, Forest, Transport, Youth Welfare, Secondary Education, Sports Department. Decisions on 30 proposals were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Thursday. After the meeting, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu told that after discussion all the important proposals were approved. In this sequence, the youth of the state participating in competitive examinations will get concession in Uttarakhand roadways bus fare. In relation to this, the government will pay the fare to the roadways. The CM had announced some time ago to provide this facility to the youth.
