Nainital.
The weather department in Sarovar Nagari has predicted snowfall in the peaks this weekend. The weather is going to change due to the activation of an influential western disturbance. On Friday, dense clouds remained in the sky throughout the day in the city.
State Director of Meteorological Department, Dr. Vikram Singh said that this western disturbance is very powerful. Its effect will remain till Sunday. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of snowfall in the higher peaks of Sarovar Nagri, Nayana Peak, Snowview, Tiffin Top, while in the lower areas there is a possibility of light and moderate rain at some places. The effect of western disturbance will start becoming visible from Friday night. It is forecast to continue till Sunday. It is expected that this western disturbance will compensate to some extent for the lack of rainfall in January and February. There will be an increase in the water level of lakes and rivers and it can also be useful for agriculture.
Here, the city was sunny in the morning. But in the afternoon, dense clouds started gathering in the sky, which covered the sky till late evening. According to GIC Meteorological Centre, the maximum temperature of the city was 17 and the minimum was seven degrees Celsius. Humidity was maximum 85 and minimum 50 percent.
