Hawk Eye drones of Doon Police will monitor the Chardham Yatra route. For this, four drones will always be flying in the sky. Apart from keeping an eye on the activities taking place on the travel route, they will also take action if rules are violated.
SSP Ajay Singh, who reached Rishikesh on Saturday to take stock of the arrangements on the yatra route, gave these instructions to the police. Apart from this, in addition to the existing traffic and Cheetah police, 10 additional Cheetah mobiles will be deployed on the yatra route. SSP inspected Chardham Yatra Registration Office, Transit Camp etc. on Saturday.
After this he also inspected the under construction railway over bridge site. He also directed the local police to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience in future. He asked to install flex boards of the route at various places on the yatra route. Apart from this, separate lanes should be made for entry and exit of vehicles by installing barriers in areas with traffic pressure.

  • For the convenience of the pilgrims coming for Chardham Yatra, police help desks should be set up by marking different places on the yatra route, so that information related to the yatra area can be made available to the devotees coming for the yatra.
  • Taking cognizance of the problems encountered during the conduct of Chardham Yatra in the past, necessary preparations should be completed to resolve them before the commencement of the Yatra.
  • To reduce traffic pressure during the travel season, diversion points should be identified by preparing traffic plans in advance. In case of heavy traffic pressure, traffic should be diverted from the diversion point.
