Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give one thousand crore rupees for setting up a new city at Prag Farm near Kichha in Udham Singh Nagar. Dhami told Modi that the government has decided to develop five to seven new cities in the state. In the first phase, a new city will be set up on 2000 acres near Kichha.
He said that this new city would be located on State Highway 47, just 15 km away from Green Field City Rudrapur. Its nearest railway station will be Pantnagar. It will be near the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, important from the economic point of view. There is also a proposal to develop a Knowledge Park of 200 to 250 acres near this proposed city.
