CM Dhami said on 77th Independence Day – Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement Uniform Civil Code

Dehradun. Chief Minister P. Singh Dhami greeted the countrymen on 77th Independence Day. The Chief Minister conferred the title of martyr to all the freedom fighters, immortal martyrs, heroines, state agitators and supreme martyr soldiers for the nation.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has also contributed in this golden journey of India. He said that soon Uttarakhand would become the first state in the country to implement Uniform Civil Code. This is an important step to take forward the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. In his message to the people of the state on Monday, the Chief Minister said that the idea of Uniform Civil Code is also positive. Other states will also like the draft of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi as well as Veerbhoomi. From here, heroes and heroines from almost every family are giving their cooperation in the defense of the country.
He said that the state government has got Shaurya Sthal constructed in honor of the martyrs. It has been decided to include a member of the family of a martyred soldier in a government job. Pension of freedom fighters and brave women has also been issued.
