On the day of Mahashivaratri, Bholenath’s wedding procession came to the Daksheshwar Mahadev temple
Haridwar. On Mahashivaratri, a large number of devotees performed Jalabhishek of Daksheshwar Mahadev at the in-laws of Lord Shiva at Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple, Kankhal. People started in long queues since morning for Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. The temple was illuminated by the pilgrims who offered milk, curd and honey, sesame, rice, belpatra prasad to Bholenath. Flowers, garlands, flowers, hemp leaves, bael fruit, dhatura flowers and dhatura fruits were offered in the Shivalaya of Daksheshwar Mahadev and anointed them with Gangajal. Kankhal is the in-laws house of Lord Shiva and therefore Daksheshwar Mahadev is highly revered in Kankhal
