Death toll rises to 15 due to electrocution at Namami Gange project site in Chamoli

Scorched people were admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh, 24 workers were working at the site, orders for magisterial inquiry

Chamoli. A major accident took place in Chamoli, Uttarakhand on Wednesday morning. Sudden electrocution occurred at the site of Namami Gange project near Chamoli market. 15 people have died in the accident. On the other hand, many people are burnt and they are also being brought to AIIMS. On the orders of the Chief Minister, the administration has set up a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
It is being told that 24 people were present at the site, out of which about 15 people died. At the same time, the scorched people are being referred to AIIMS from the district hospital. DSP Pramod Shah said that among the dead were sub-inspector Pradeep Rawat Chowki Pipalkoti, home guard Mukande Ram resident Harmani Chamoli, home guard Gopal resident village Rupa Chamoli, home guard Sobat Lal resident village Paduli, Sumit resident village Rangtoli Chamoli, Surendra resident Harmani Chamoli, Devi Lal, Resident Harmony ChamoliYogendra Singh resident Harmony, Surendra Singh Rawat resident Harmony, Vipin resident Patoli Gopeshwar, Manoj Kumar resident Harmony, Sukhdev village Rangtoli Chamoli, Pramod Kumar resident Harmony, Deepu Kumar resident Harmony and Mahipal village Rangtoli
