The bugle for Lok Sabha elections 2024 has been sounded. The Election Commission announced the election dates in a press conference this afternoon. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that this time the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in 7 phases. He also told that all preparations for the elections have been completed. Apart from this, strict security arrangements have been made at the polling booths.

Elections in how many states in which phase?
In the first phase, voting will be held on a total of 102 Lok Sabha seats in 21 states. Whereas, in the second phase, voting will be held on 89 seats of 13 states, in the third phase, voting will be held on 94 seats of 12 states, 96 seats of 10 states, 49 seats of 8 states, 57 seats of 7 states, 57 seats of 8 states.
