Ghazipur. A major accident took place in Ghazipur, UP. Dozens of people were badly injured when a private bus caught fire here. There are also reports of deaths of many people. However, the death of 4 people has been confirmed. The cause of the accident is said to be electrocution in the bus from the high tension line.
According to the information, the incident took place in Mardah police station area of Ghazipur. Here a bus full of wedding guests was going from Kopaganj towards Ghosi. It is being told that there were about 50 people in it. However, the reason for the incident is not yet clear.
On receiving information about the incident, DM and SP of the district reached the spot. The rescue team is taking the injured to the hospital with the help of local people.
CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this incident. Taking cognizance of the incident, he has given instructions to take strict action against the culprits. Also, officials have been asked to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief work.
