Gangster Rathi demands extortion of 50 lakhs from former student leader

Threatening to kill and occupy the plot for not paying extortion

Haridwar. Gangster Sunil Rathi lodged in Haridwar’s Roshanabad Jail has demanded extortion of Rs 50 lakh from the former student union president of Gurukul University. Threatened to kill and capture the plot for not paying extortion. Sidkul police have started investigation by registering a case against six accused including Sunil Rathi.
Gangster Sunil Rathi is in Roshanabad Jail. In October 2022, he was shifted from Tihar to Roshanabad Jail. From jail, Rathi arrested former student union president Ravikant Malik, resident of Gurukul Kangri Kankhal and his brother Amarkant. An extortion of Rs 50 lakh has been sought from Malik. Ravikant Malik said that he has bought two plots in Navodaya Nagar Roshanabad in the name of his wife. Rathi has threatened to capture the plot if he does not pay extortion money. SP City Swatantra Kumar Singh told that Sidkul police has registered a case against Sunil Rathi and Neeraj Malik, Pradeep Rathi, Rohtosh Rathi, Vipin Rathi, Sushil Gujjar.
