Gas cylinder explodes, two children killed, 4 injured

Fire broke out in the cylinder as soon as the match was lit to heat the milk, explosion

Noida. Two children, including a newborn, died in a fire caused by a cylinder explosion in the house on Sunday. 4 people got seriously burnt. He has been admitted to the hospital. The incident is of D-221 of Sector-8 JJ Colony.
The children were hungry. Mother Shabana turned on the gas to heat the milk and as soon as she lit the fire with a match, the cylinder caught fire. The cylinder exploded with a bang. The fire spread so fast that two children sleeping nearby got trapped. Quoting fire officer Pradeep Choubey, it was told that the incident took place at 3 am. A fire was reported in a slum in JJ Colony. Two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and doused the fire in 20 minutes. Due to the explosion of the cylinder, 4 members of the family got scorched, who were immediately sent by the police personnel to the district hospital Nithari. During treatment at the district hospital here, two children were declared dead by the doctor.
Station Phase-1 in-charge Dhruv Bhushan Dubey said, “The deceased children have been identified as 12-day-old Ariba and 12-year-old teenager Rihan. Wherein, Rizwan (37), Shabana (32), Ahad (6) and Anisha (20) have been scorched.
