Baraat returned without bride, murder case against two on groom’s father’s Tahrir
The relative of the bride got so angry on something that he shot and killed the groom’s maternal uncle. Due to this there was chaos in the procession. The procession returned without marriage.
The case pertains to Deoria Rudrapur Kotwali area of UP. The groom’s side is a resident of Khajni police station area of Gorakhpur district. The charge of firing has been leveled against the Pradhan and his nephew of Dubauli village under Jhangha police station area of Gorakhpur. The police have registered a case against both of them under various sections including murder on the complaint of the groom’s father.

The marriage of Navnath Nishad’s daughter Anuradha was fixed with Sandeep’s son Lalji Nishad, a resident of New Sangrampur Unwal of Khajni police station area of Gorakhpur. On the night of May 16, the procession reached with much fanfare. Relatives of the girl side also came to participate in it. The program of Dwar Puja was going on around 11 o’clock in the night. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between Omprakash Nishad, the relative of the girl’s side and the groom’s maternal uncle Bajrangi Nishad over some matter. Both sides started threatening to see each other. At the same time Ram Ratan Nishad, nephew of Om Prakash Nishad, opened fire on Bajrangi Nishad with a licensed gun. Bajrangi Nishad (age 45 years) was seriously injured in the bullet. He was hurriedly rushed to the district hospital from where doctors referred him to Gorakhpur Medical College. The family members were going to Gorakhpur with the injured Bajrangi when he died on the way. After this, the family members returned with the dead body. Bajrangi Nishad was a resident of Ram Matesara of Chiluatal police station area of Gorakhpur.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Rudrapur police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. After the incident, there was chaos in the marriage house. The procession returned without getting married. Regarding the incident, Rudrapur Circle Officer Jilajeet said that a case has been registered against the accused.
