Manager was rescued from helicopter in critical condition and referred from Haldwani to Delhi
Pithoragarh. The security guard of the State Bank of India branch was upset over not getting leave. Enraged, the guard poured petrol on the bank manager and set him on fire. After first aid, the manager was rescued by helicopter and admitted to Higher Center Haldwani. Referred to Delhi from Haldwani. The police have taken the accused into custody.
Munger (Bihar) resident Mohammad Ovesh (57), manager of SBI located in the city, reached the bank on Saturday. At around 10.14 am, the security guard of the bank, Deepak Chhetri (48) son Soban Chhetri, resident of Bhagwanpur, Dehradun, reached his cabin. It is being told that for about two minutes there was talk between the two about giving leave. Meanwhile, at around 10.16 am, the guard took out a bottle and poured petrol on the manager and set him on fire. Seeing the manager burning, there was panic in the bank. The businessman Satish Kumar, who reached there for the transaction, somehow extinguished the fire with the fire extinguisher present in the cabin. Later, EMT Vivek Karki and driver Laxman Chand of 108 ambulance reached the Community Health Center with the bank manager in scorched condition. Here doctor Dr. Chetan Kumar said that 36 percent of the manager’s body has been charred by the fire. The injured has been referred to Sushila Tiwari Hospital, Haldwani.
