Haldwani violence mastermind Malik arrested from Delhi, 60 people detained by police

Haldwani. Abdul Malik, who is said to be the mastermind of the ruckus that took place during the removal of encroachment in Malik’s garden in Banbhulpura, Haldwani in Uttarakhand, has been arrested. According to sources, a joint team of Delhi and Uttarakhand Police has arrested Malik in Delhi. However, right now the police officers are avoiding saying anything in this matter.
At the same time, the police have so far arrested and detained more than 60 people. Five people including two outgoing councilors have been arrested after conducting a search operation. At the same time, it is being told that Abdul Malik has also been arrested by the police from Delhi today.
The land on which the dispute is going on. There are many problems on that land. Someone else gets the land for agricultural purposes. It is sold to someone else. Later the land was gifted to Abdul Malik’s father. After this this land comes to the Malik. The people living in Banbhulpura area claim that the colonial government had given this land on lease to Mohammad Yasin in the year 1937 for agriculture. Abdul Malik and Safia Malik were looking after this property. Safia Malik’s lawyer has filed a petition in the High Court on February 6 against the Municipal Corporation’s demolition notice on January 30.
