Haldwani. The body of a half-burnt newborn baby was found in a pit near Goola Jungle Bypass Indranagar checkpost. Police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
According to information received from the police, on the information of a local person Shahrukh Khan, Sub-Inspector Sanjeet Kumar of Banbhulpura Police reached the spot along with the police team.
The body of a newborn baby was spotted in a large pit in the east direction, about 50 meters away from the Goola Jungle Goola Bypass Road, about 50 meters before the Indranagar check post located on The Goola Bypass Road. There was no cloth on his body. Half of the child’s body was visible inside the sand and half the body was visible on the sand. On which the flies were barking.
The infant appeared to be a 9-month-old boy. There was a blue clip (closure) on the baby’s placenta. There was a strong smell coming from the body. The body of the infant appeared to be about 2-3 days old. There was also a burnt cloth ash and some half-burnt parts of the cloth lying near the infant’s body. An attempt was made to cover the body with a saree.
The body could not be identified. Police suspect that the baby was kept here after he died after birth, but throwing a human body in such an indecent manner is also a crime. Police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
