Heli service will be available for Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib

. Pilgrims visiting Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib will get helicopter facility from Gauchar and Govind Ghat this time. This service will be available for three hours a day.

Heli service for Hemkund Sahib will start from May 25, while it is being considered to start heli service for Badrinath Dham from May 12. Chief Executive Officer of Civil Aviation Department C. Ravi Shankar said, on the request of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee and Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib Trust, it has been decided to start air service for these two pilgrimage sites this time.

Heli service will be operated for three hours from Gauchar to Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib during the day when the crowd of devotees is less. It was told that it has been decided to start heli service for Hemkund Sahib from May 25, while for Badrinath Dham, talks will be held with the operator of the company. Helicopter service will be started from May 12 or May 25 with the consent of the operator. If this service is successful, it will be extended further.
