On April 13 and 15, the tiger had killed two villagers in Block Rikhanikhal and Tehsil Dhumakot. After this the tiger attacked a calf. District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan had declared a holiday till April 18 in view of security in tiger-affected areas. Which was extended till last 21 April. But now the holiday has been extended till 26 April.DM Ne Ney Village Dalla Patti Pano-Char, Meldhar, Quirali, Tolyun, Gadiun, Jui, Kanda, Kotdi in Tehsil Rikhanikhal and Village Khyunnai Talli, Khyunnai Malli, Khyunnai Bichli, Umta, Simli Malli, Chamada, Simli Talli in Tehsil Dhumakot. Ghodkand Malla, Ghodkand Talla, Kandi Talli, Kandi Malli, Mandiar Village,A holiday has been declared till April 26 in all schools and Anganwadi centers falling under Khadet, Goom, Belam areas. DM Dr. Ashish Chauhan has appealed to the people of the area to take special vigilance. Dr. Chauhan told that tiger activity is being seen in the affected areas. The team of forest department and administration is engaged in efforts. But till there is no concrete success in this direction, we have to be especially careful. He also appealed to the villagers to give any information about the tiger to the control room, forest department, police and administration
