Demonstration on strike due to non-payment of salary, returned to work after release of salary

Haridwar. Angered by the non-payment of dues, an employee of the Municipal Corporation’s garbage collection company Kasagreen tried to set himself ablaze by pouring petrol on himself. In the late evening, the Municipal Corporation released the payment of the dues till March. After which these companies decided to end the strike. Garbage will be picked up regularly from these wards from Wednesday.
The Corporation has given the work of collecting garbage from 60 wards to two private companies. Both the companies had announced not to pick up garbage from the Municipal Corporation area from Tuesday regarding the payment of dues. In this sequence, the employees did not pick up the garbage. In the evening, the employees of Casa Green Company demonstrated against the company near the town hall. During this, an employee Sandeep Goyal tried to set fire by pouring petrol. However, the policemen of the Intelligence Department immediately caught him on the spot. Sandeep told that the salary for the last two months and the money for overtime has not been received. Due to which he is facing many problems. On behalf of Casa Green Company, director Ranjan Rathore said that both the companies have 252 employees. 5 crores is outstanding. Employees demand salary on time. In such a situation, it becomes difficult for us to pay salaries to the employees on time. Director of KL Madan Company, Kunal Madan said that on the first day both the companies had stopped work in half the wards only
