Influenza virus: Alert in Uttarakhand, health department issues advisory

These people have to protect from the outbreak of the virus, take these precautions

Dehradun. Uttarakhand’s health department also became alert after cases of H3N2 (influenza virus) were reported in different parts of the country. The Health Department has also issued a precautionary advisory to protect people from the outbreak of the virus.
Prevention of H3N2 requires caution, there is no need to panic. The health department has advised persons with weak immunity to avoid going to crowded areas in view of the high risk of this flu.

They need special attention. 

Especially asthma and lung infection patients, the elderly, pregnant women and children have been advised to take more precautions to prevent this infection. Due to the weather, this infection can also take its grip rapidly. Due to this infection, people can become victims of diseases like cough, cold, fever, diarrhea, vomiting and body ache. Masks and physical distance have been advised to prevent this. The public has been asked to avoid crowded places.
No case of H3N2 has been reported yet. An investigation is being conducted at doon medical college hospital. Hospitals have been alerted. They have been asked to follow the rules of masks, physical distance etc.

These are the symptoms of getting infected with the virus

• Fever for a week or more.

• Fever is also high.

• Cough lasts for a long time.

• Increased mucus problems.

• Water coming from the nose.

How to protect yourself from influenza flu

• Always wear a face mask when going out or in the office

• Cover the nose and mouth thoroughly while coughing or sneezing

• Avoid going to crowded places

• Wash hands with water and soap from time to time.

• Keep yourself hydrated, drink water, fruit juice or other beverages

• Avoid touching nose and mouth

• Take paracetamol in case of fever

• Do not spit or shake hands in a public place.

• Avoid any kind of physical contact

• Do not take antibiotics without consulting a doctor
