Inspector suspended for indecency with senior journalist OP Sati in the capital

Inspector Harsh Arora misbehaved with senior Hindustan journalist Om Sati, who had gone to cover the Dussehra fair on Tuesday at the Parade Ground in the capital. Journalists met the DGP on Wednesday and expressed strong anger regarding the matter. Apart from suspending the Inspector, the DGP has ordered an investigation against him. SSP Ajay Singh suspended Inspector Harsh Arora on Wednesday evening. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also took cognizance of the matter and directed the DGP to take appropriate action.

In the meeting with the DGP, the journalists said that Ravana Dahan was organized in the parade ground on Tuesday. Senior journalist Om Prakash Sati was also present there for coverage. The police requested the journalists to sit at one place for coverage. Suddenly common people also reached there. On this, Inspector Harsh Arora, who was on duty, came and started abusing Om Prakash Sati. Wearing his uniform, he pushed Om Sati out of the venue in a humiliating manner. He caused a deep blow to the journalist’s honor amidst the crowd of hundreds of people. Journalists said, this is also a violation of human rights. This cannot be done to any citizen, whereas Om Prakash Sati was on duty there for coverage.
