Nainital.
After the ligament operation, it seemed as if everything was over, but after watching the film 12th Fail, I got the courage to start working again and I was able to climb successfully. For this I want to thank Hans Foundation wholeheartedly. This is what Shital Raj, the Everest conqueror and one who has achieved success in another adventurous expedition, has to say.
Sheetal Raj said that she would also like to thank Ethical Himalayan Expeditions and their expert mountain guides for making this expedition successful.
According to Sheetal, a resident of the high Himalayan region of Pithoragarh, the family has always supported her in good and bad times. Sheetal has achieved many achievements in the past also. Sheetal, who was honored with the biggest award of adventure sports, Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award and became the youngest person in the world to successfully climb Mount Kanchenjunga, Everest, Annapurna and Mount Chipidung in Adi Kailas range, won the bronze medal in the Khelo India National Championship.
Sheetal Raj suffered a serious knee injury while skiing and had to undergo surgery. Two years later she stood up again and successfully completed the summit in minus 35 degree temperatures.
Now Sheetal dreams of climbing six mountains of 8000 meters height. This year she will climb Mount Dhaulagiri and Mount Choyu. According to former international runner Harish Tiwari, Sheetal is a role model for the youth, her success inspires them to take bold decisions. Sheetal is posted on contract as a specialist in Uttarakhand Tourism Department.
