Jawan was on duty at ITBP center, hospitalized
Dehradun. A jawan on duty at ITBP center shot himself with a service rifle. The jawan has been admitted to the hospital in Patel Nagar.
Police information has been given by Vipin Mishra Deputy Fighter GD 23rd Battalion ITBP Border Dehradun. It is said that the head constable Siddhiram Gaur of the said company was doing duty with his service rifle in the gym guard duty in the camp premises on February 7. He was carrying a 5.56 MA INSAS rifle. He shot himself with his rifle.
The jawan has been admitted to Mahant Indresh Hospital. A charge of attempt to suicide under section 309 IPC has been registered against Head Constable Siddharam Gaur
