Srinagar. A massive blast took place in a truck full of gas cylinders near Kandikhaal on the Srinagar-Tehri motorway in the early hours of today. In no time, balls of fire started flying in the air, due to which panic spread in the entire area. There were 40 blasts.
According to the information received from eyewitnesses, gas cylinders were getting blasted by flying in the air. However, it is being told that there was no loss of life or property in the accident. Eyewitnesses told that the truck was coming from Srinagar towards Tehri carrying gas cylinders. Due to a sudden blast in a gas cylinder near Kandikhal, the entire truck was burnt to ashes. The truck driver somehow saved his life by running away. It is being told that due to the blasting smoke spread in the entire area and gas cylinders started exploding like fireballs in the air. The highway was completely closed due to the accident. On receiving information from the District Disaster Management Office, action is being taken to open the highway.
