Kotdwar’s Vijay dies in Turkish earthquake, tattoo on hand identified

Indian Embassy confirms death in family

New Delhi. The death of Kotdwar resident Vijay Kumar has been confirmed due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey. The Indian Embassy in Turkey tweeted. Vijay Kumar was found buried under the debris of a hotel in Malta. He has been identified by the tattoo on the hand. There is mourning in his family in Kotdwar. Vijay Gaur’s brother-in-law Gaurav said that at 1.30 pm, his elder brother received a call from the embassy.
Vijay Kumar had gone missing after an earthquake hit Turkia on February 6.
Vijay Kumar had gone to Turkey on January 23 to work for a Bengaluru-based company. I couldn’t contact him for a week. Vijay Gaur’s body was found. Vijay Gaur’s face was completely crushed as he was buried under the debris of the building, he said. Due to which they could not be identified. But he has been identified by Tattoo.
“Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,” the embassy said. We are making arrangements to send his body to his family as soon as possible.
