Kuldeep Singh Bhandari, a jawan from Falai village in Agastyamuni, was martyred

Kuldeep Singh Bhandari( 42), a resident of Falai village in Agastyamuni block of Rudraprayag, was martyred. He leaves behind his old mother, wife and two children. On Saturday late evening, the body of the martyr reached The Jollygrant Airport in Dehradun by an army helicopter. On Sunday, the martyr will be cremated with military honors at his ancestral ghat on the banks of mandakini river in Vijayanagar.
Havildar Kuldeep Bhandari was posted in Shillong for some time. On Friday, army personnel were going on an operation somewhere. During this, jawan Kuldeep Bhandari was martyred. There is no clear information about how the incident took place and from where the attack took place. Vijaypal Singh Rana, village head of Falai, said he received information about the incident on Friday afternoon. But it could not be confirmed. On Saturday, the army office called and informed about the incident and by late evening, the army helicopter was asked to take the body of the soldier to Jollygrant Airport. Late in the evening, the soldier’s family was informed about the incident, after which mourning has spread there.
Full details of the cause of the incident will be known only after the arrival of army officials along with the body. The martyr is survived by his old mother, wife, 15-year-old son Ayush and 18-year-old daughter Isha. While father Hukum Singh Bhandari has died about one and a half years ago. Meanwhile, MLA Shailarani Rawat, MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Zila Panchayat President Amardei Shah, former MLA Manoj Rawat have expressed grief over the incident. Village head Vijaypal Singh Rana said that Kuldeep Singh Bhandari, a soldier of 35-Assam Rifles, had come home on leave one and a half months ago. He said he was very cheerful. He also enthusiastically participated in the social work done in the village.
