Dehradun. The state government on Wednesday announced the Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Khel Ratna Awards, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Dronacharya Awards and Lifetime Achievement Awards. After a long wait of three years, the sports department has announced the award. The winners of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Khel Ratna Award and Lifetime Achievement Award will be given Rs.5 lakh each, while the winners of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Dronacharya Award will be given Rs.3 lakh each. Medal winners of national level competitions will be given Rs 2 crore eight lakh under the sports policy. The players and coaches have been waiting for the awards for a long time. The awards were not received since the year 2018.
