Kumaon Regiment team conquered Trishul peak

41 member team including regimental officers

Uttarkashi. The team of Kumaon Regiment has conquered Trishul peak after arduous mountaineering for a month. A 41-member team including officers of the regiment was present in the team. Of these, 14 members conquered the peak.
The team also hoisted the tricolor flag on the peak. The team returned on Monday after staying in Sutol village for two days. The team members also collected garbage at Homkund, the base camp of Trishul peak. The garbage was disposed of by the youth of Gram Panchayat and Tourism Committee Sutol. Team leaders Colonel Manoj Joshi and Major Aditya Prakash said that the regiment has conquered the peak after 20 years. The weather remained completely pleasant during this period. In Sutol village, village head Rajpal Kumar, Eco Tourism Committee Chairman Kamal Singh, Vice Chairman Dhirendra Singh Negi, Mahila Mangal Dal President Sushma Negi, Nav Yuvak Mangal Dal President Bakhtawar Singh etc. welcomed the team warmly. The team members rested for two days in Sutol village. On Monday the team left for Ranikhet.
