Kumaon’s first government 40-bed de-addiction center to be built in Haldwani

Haldwani. A drug de-addiction center will be set up at the ANM training center at Pande Nawad. The Health Department has handed over the building to Social Welfare for setting up a drug de-addiction centre. As soon as the budget is received from the government, the necessary action will start for the construction of the center.
The exercise to set up the first government drug de-addiction center of Kumaon is going on for the last few months. In March, the three-storey building of the ANM Center was found suitable for making it a centre. CMO DrBhagirathi Joshi told that the health department has handed over the building to social welfare. The Social Welfare Department will run a 40-bed de-addiction center here. It will cost Rs 1.24 crore to repair this dilapidated building. District Social Welfare Officer Dipankar Ghildiyal told that as soon as the budget is released, the drinking water construction corporation will start work in the building
