Haridwar. There has been a stir after a mobile phone was found in the possession of an undertrial prisoner in the district jail campus. The prisoner had hidden the phone in his underwear. While seizing the mobile phone, the jail administration has registered a case against the accused prisoner at Sidkul police station.
The jail administration was busy searching the barracks. Meanwhile, Akshay, the guard in barrack number one, suspected the prisoner under consideration.
On the basis of suspicion, undertrial Sumit resident Majri Mohalla Jamalpur Kalan Kankhal was searched, nothing was found but when his clothes were taken off, a mobile hidden inside his underwear was found. A power bank, charger along with mobile was recovered at the instance of the detainee. There was a stir in the jail administration after getting the mobile from the prisoner’s possession.
In a hurry, the top officers of the jail reached the barrack. The jail administration immediately took possession of the mobile phone. In the preliminary interrogation of the detainee, he gave some information regarding the mobile phone. In-charge Inspector Ramesh Tanwar said that on the complaint of In-charge Jailor Pyare Lal Arya, a case has been registered against the prisoner under the relevant section in this regard.
