Haldwani. The city’s busiest main intersection Mukhani has now been renamed as Parshuram Chowk. It was unveiled by Mayor Dr. Jogendra Pal Singh Rautela on Parshuram Janmotsav. The name of the intersection has changed in the papers. However, it will take time to change the name in common parlance.
Actually, earlier the name of Tikonia Square in Haldwani was changed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Tiraha, but this name remained only till the paper records. Even today, Tikonia Chauraha emerges from everyone’s lips. Mukhani Square is the busiest and oldest square of Haldwani. From children to the elderly, it is rote on the tongue. Its name has now become Bhagwan Parshuram Chauraha. National President of Akhil Brahmin Utthan Mahasabha Pt. Vishal Sharma and State President Pt.
