Due to stormy wind in Akola, accident happened in Babuji Maharaj Temple campus located in Balapur tehsil.
Maharashtra. A neem tree fell on the tin shed of Babuji Maharaj Mandir campus in Balapur tehsil amid heavy rains and stormy wind in Akola, Maharashtra. About 40 people came under the grip of tin shed. Seven people died and 30 were injured in the incident.
According to media reports, around 40 people were present at the spot during the accident. The incident took place around 7 pm on Sunday during a religious ceremony in front of a temple. Due to heavy rains and strong winds, an old neem tree fell on the tin shed. A large number of devotees were taking shelter under it. According to the police, 35 to 40 people got buried under the shed while seven died.
