Rudrapur. The case of distribution of rotten eggs has come to the fore in many Anganwadi centers across the district. Along with being rotten eggs, they have also turned black. After complaining, the eggs were given again and they also turned out to be rotten. Earlier, the case of supply of rotten eggs has come to the fore in Anganwadi centers of Nainital district. This shows the negligence of the department.
Children studying in Anganwadi centers are distributed nutritious food every month by the Child Development Project. In view of this, eggs were distributed to the beneficiaries in the month of April.
The eggs distributed to several Anganwadi centers in the district turned out to be rotten and smelly. It is being told that after finding rotten eggs in the centre, many Anganwadi workers informed the staff associated with the center about the matter. After this, the eggs were redistributed again by changing the eggs in the center, but the redistributed eggs also turned out to be bad in the same way. Anganwadi workers have complained about the matter to the District Program Officer.
