New tourism zone in Ramnagar will open for Hathidangar Safari.

Tourists will be able to roam within a radius of 35 kilometers in the forest with 25-25 gypsies in the morning and evening.

To reduce the pressure of tourists in Corbett National Park, preparations have been made to open another tourism zone in Ramnagar. Tourists will go on safari with 25-25 gypsies in the morning and evening in the Hathidangar zone, which is being opened from March 1. Tourists will be able to roam within a radius of 35 kilometers in the forest.
At present there are Dhikala, Bijrani, Dhela, Girija, Jhirna, Durgadevi, Pakhro, Sonanadi tourist zones in Corbett National Park. Apart from this, Phato Tourism Zones are operated under Sitavani and Terai Western Forest Division in the outer Ramnagar Forest Division. Now another tourism zone is being opened in the Terai Western Forest Division by the name of Hathidangar. Preparations for this zone were going on for several months.
A track has also been prepared for tourist safari inside the forest. Apart from gypsy operations, local people will also get employment here as guides. The zone will be inaugurated by Kumaon’s Chief Forest Conservator PK Patro and MLA Diwan Singh Bisht.
