On May 12, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened for the pilgrims as per the rituals.

Dehradun. The sesame oil used for the consecration of Lord Badrinath will be threaded in Narendranagar Rajdarbar on 25th April and this oil will be poured into the Gaadu pitcher. With this, the Gadu Ghada Oil Kalash Yatra will leave from Narendranagar Rajdarbar and will reach Rishikesh in the evening. After this, on May 12 at 6 am, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened for the pilgrims as per the rituals.
Ashutosh Dimri, President of Shri Badrish Dimri Religious Central Panchayat released the program of the yatra. He told that on April 25, according to religious traditions, sesame oil will be poured into the sacred Gadughada on behalf of Maharani Mala Rajlakshmi Shah and the brides in Narendranagar. On the same day, Dimri priest will also inaugurate the Gaadu Ghada Oil Kalash Yatra. Passing through various stops, the yatra will reach Dimmer village on 28th April.
By May 7, the Gadughada oil urn will be installed in the Lakshmi Narayan temple. On 8th the yatra will reach Pakhi village via Simli, Karnaprayag. On 9th, the Yatra will reach Narasimha Temple, Joshimath and on 10th, it will reach Yogdhyan Temple Pandukeshwar for the night stay with Adi Guru Shankaracharya’s throne, Rawal (Chief Priest) of Badrinath, Dharmadhikari and Vedapathis. After Mahabhishek and Bal Bhog on 11th, the Yatra will reach Badrinath Dham and on 12th May the doors will be opened with rituals.
