Outsourced workers fired from government hospitals during the Corona period are on hunger strike demanding adjustment.
Dehradun. A worker, who was on hunger strike demanding adjustment of outsourced workers during the Corona period, fired from various government hospitals of the state, locked himself in the toilet on Wednesday. He remained inside for about six hours, causing chaos at the protest site in Ekta Vihar. At the same time, the hands and feet of the police-administration also swelled. Later, when the employee fell unconscious, he was somehow pulled out.
In fact, it has been almost a quarter of a month since the outsourced workers, demanding adjustment, have been protesting at the protest site in Ekta Vihar. At the same time, for the last 27 days, the employees are sitting on hunger strike one by two.
On Wednesday, when the health of Pradeep Uniyal and Mukesh Sharma, who were on hunger strike, deteriorated, the medical team advised them to be admitted to the hospital, on which the police-administration team reached the spot. Pradeep Uniyal was admitted to the district hospital amidst huge uproar.
Meanwhile, seeing the opportunity, another employee Mukesh locked himself in the toilet. He kept himself locked for about six hours and demanded to call the SDM. Later, when he fell unconscious, other employees managed to enter inside the toilet with great difficulty.
He was taken to the district hospital through emergency service with the help of the district administration. Apart from this, amidst the uproar, another employee Ramniwas was also taken to the district hospital after his health deteriorated. During this, District President Sharmila Chauhan, Mithlesh Baluni, Dhanveer, Nisha, Amit Samate and employees from all over the state were present.
