Pithoragarh DM reached the village on foot, asked about the condition of the villagers and saw 35 fish ponds

Pithoragarh. District Magistrate Pithoragarh Reena Joshi inspected 35 fish ponds built in village Tharkot and collected fish seeds of different species like grass-crape, silver crape and Ruhun species.
The District Magistrate met the villagers in a program organized in village Tharkot, after knowing their well-being, the villagers were also informed about the problems related to the village, on which water was not coming in the taps installed in village Tharkot under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme by the villagers in front of the District Magistrate. The problem was puAnd the problem of construction of boundary wall and gate was kept in the school, for which the District Magistrate gave proper directions to the officials of the concerned department for its quick solution.
On-site inspection of village Tharkot was also done by the District Magistrate, during this the Assistant Director of Fisheries Dr. Ramesh Singh Chalal also informed the District Magistrate in detail regarding the progress of the said scheme.
Encouraging the fisheries producers, the District Magistrate said that there are immense possibilities of fish production in Tharkot village, the fish producers should take it forward and make it a means of livelihood by making it successful, tell that for the construction of these 35 ponds by the District Magistrate 20 lakh from untied fundDuring this time fish pond builder Jitendra Singh Rawal, Bahadur Singh Rawal, Shivraj Singh, Jagdish Prasad, Ramesh Ram etc. were encouraged by the District Magistrate to make it successful by increasing fish production. On this occasion, Assistant Director Dr. Ramesh Singh Chalal, Fisheries Inspector Anil Unyal, Fisherman Devi Dutt Pant along with fish producers, villagers etc. were present
