Tourism Development Council again asked for applications for giving KMVN’s Mukteshwar Guest House on PPP mode.

Dehradun. Preparations have started to hand over the guest houses of both the tourism corporations KMVN and GMVN to private hands. Tourism Development Council has again invited applications for giving KMVN’s Mukteshwar Guest House on PPP mode.
Earlier, applications were invited to hand over KMVN’s Sattal, Naukuchiatal and Mukteshwar guest houses on PPP mode. The employees protested vehemently. Movement started in Kumaon division. Full support was given to the movement in Garhwal division also. Meanwhile the process came to a halt. GMVN KMVN Joint Employees Federation President Dinesh Gururani said that why only the prime location guest houses of the corporations are being given on PPP mode? Whereas corporations earn profits from them every year. If only the guest houses which improve the financial condition of the corporations are given on PPP mode, then what work will the employees do? The PPP mode campaign will not be allowed to succeed. In view of the opposition from the employee organizations, Secretary Tourism has called them for talks on October 20.
