After the college management team confirmed the incident in the CCTV footage, a meeting of the anti-ragging committee was called by the college management. In this, the side of junior and senior students were heard. Now it has been decided to exclude senior students from hostels and courses. Financial penalty will also be imposed.
The case of ragging in the medical college dates back to March 25. The students of MBBS-2022 batch reached the mess at around 4.30 pm. Three senior students of the year-2021 were present here. It is said that three senior students misbehaved with the junior students. During this there was also an uproar. This worsened the condition of a student with panic. The security personnel present near the mess informed the college management about the matter. People associated with the college principal and other management reached the spot. Medical College Principal DrArun Joshi says that there was no complaint in the matter, but considering the seriousness of the matter, steps were taken. CCTV footage was viewed. In this, the incident has been revealed in detail. Junior students are also seen walking in a line. After this a meeting of the Disciplinary Committee was called. Then a meeting of the Anti Ragging Committee was called. In this, the side of junior and senior students were heard. The action was decided after looking into all the legal aspects.
In the meeting of the Anti Ragging Committee, a decision has been taken to expel a senior student from the hostel and course for six months. It has been decided to debar two other students from the hostel for six months and the course for one month. A financial fine of Rs 25-25 thousand has also been imposed on all the three senior students
