Haridwar. The court of ADJ/Special Judge Poxo Judge Anjali Nauliyal has found the accused youth guilty in the case of raping and threatening to kill a teenager. The special court has sentenced the convict to 20 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 62 thousand. The accused had brought the girl home on the pretext of taking care of his pregnant wife.
Government advocate Adesh Chand Chauhan said that on January 7, 2022, a 17-year-old girl was assaulted, raped and threatened to kill her in Khanpur area. The victim teenager had told the incident to her aunt. The victim had told that the accused raped the family by threatening to kill them. When the victim protested, the accused also assaulted her. Taking this matter seriously, the victim had filed a case against the accused Islam’s son Saraju, resident of village Prahladpur police station Khanpur. After which the police arrested the accused youth and sent him to jail. Government advocate told that seven witnesses were produced on behalf of the government.
The accused had brought the victim to his home to take care of his wife when she was pregnant. The wife of the accused was delivered in the hospital. The wife of the accused was admitted in the hospital on the day of the incident. Taking advantage of this, the accused had carried out the incident under the influence of alcohol.
