Roadways bus crushed husband-wife and 10-year-old niece, all three died

Accident occurred while climbing the flyover in Raiwala Motichur forest, deceased Haridwar resident

A Volvo roadways bus crushed a bike-riding husband-wife and their 10-year-old niece on the Haridwar-Dehradun National Highway. During this, the woman and the child died on the spot. Whereas, the youth succumbed to serious injuries in AIIMS Rishikesh. Taking the dead bodies into custody, the police have sent them for postmortem.
According to the Raiwala police, bike rider Shahban (32) son Ishtiaq resident of village Sarai, Jwalapur, Haridwar wife Asma (28) and niece Misbha daughter Shahzad were going towards Haridwar. Meanwhile, before climbing the flyover in the forest of Motichur, his bike went uncontrolled and collided with the bike running in front. As husband, wife and niece fell on the highway, a speeding roadways bus coming from behind crushed them.
Passengers immediately informed the police about this. Asma and Misbha died even before the police reached the spot. Shahban was rushed to AIIMS Rishikesh by emergency service in injured condition. SHO Kuldeep Pant told that Shahban also died during treatment at AIIMS. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem across the panchnama. The roadways bus has been taken into custody. Police say that at present no complaint has been received from the family members. Further action will be taken as soon as the complaint is received. Told that the bike with which Shehban’s bike collided, that person has not been found on the spot. On the other hand, after this incident, there has been uproar among the family members
